現在廣東省的地理環境，人口變遷快速而有所改變，所以原先海豐陸豐的客家話，是被周邊強勢語言慢慢同化。在台灣雲林縣和彰化縣的詔安客家話，很明顯就被閩南語同化稱福佬客，祖先原是客家人卻說閩南話。所以語言是會有所變化的。
