反正大概是兩三歲的時候
fǎn zhèng dà gài shì liǎng sān suì de shí hou 
Anyway, (I was) about two or three years old.
嗯，應該是兩三歲的時候
ń, yīng gāi shì liǎng sān suì de shí hou
Yeah, I should have been two or three years old.
然後，額……我跟我家家婆奶奶（外婆）是關係最好的
rán hòu, é ……wǒ hé wǒ ？？？shì guān xì zuì hǎo de 
Then, uh...I were the closest one to my maternal grandmother.
然後我家家婆奶奶家呢，燒柴火
rán hòu wǒ nǎi nǎi jiā ne, shāo chái huǒ 
Then, there is firewood in my grandmother’s house.
然後我一個表哥，一個表哥呢，他是木匠
rán hòu wǒ yī gè biǎo gē, yī gè biǎo gē ne, tā shì mù jiang 
And a cousin of mine, a cousin, he was a carpenter
專門呢，那个，带（帮）人家做家具的
zhuān mén ne, ？wǒ zuò jiā jù de 
He specialized in, uh, making furniture for people
做傢具不有好多這個廢的木頭麼
zuò jiā jù bù yǒu hǎo duō zhè gè fèi de mù tóu me 
There was a lot of leftover wood whenever he makes furniture
然後呢，我就在我家裡——他那时候做木匠，在我家奶奶家做木匠
rán hòu ne, wǒ jiù zài wǒ nǎi nǎi —nà shí tā zài wǒ nǎi nǎi jiā zuò mù jiang 
So, I was at my grandma’s, and he was doing carpentry, he was over there working with wood
我就從我家奶奶家呢，偷那個木頭
rán hòu wǒ jiù cóng wǒ nǎi nǎi jiā tōu le gè mù tóu 
And I stole the wood from my (paternal) grandma’s
然後呢，把木頭呢偷偷地送到我家家婆家
rán hòu ne, bǎ mù tóu ne tōu tōu de sòng dào wǒ wài pó jiā 
and then, sent the firewood secretly to my (maternal) grandma’s.
我外婆傢呢，住在三樓，然後呢，我就怕我家奶奶曉得了。
wǒ wài pó jiā ne, zhù zài sān lóu, rán hòu wǒ jiù pà wǒ nǎi nǎi xiǎo de le . 
My (maternal) grandma lived on the third floor, and I was really afraid my (paternal) grandma would know that
我每天呢都晚上去偷
wǒ měi tiān dōu wǎn shàng tōu 
I stole firewood every night,
偷了木頭，偷了木头以后呢，我就摸著黑，爬樓梯
tōu le mù tóu, mō zhe hēi, pá lóu tī 
and climbed stairs in darkness
爬到三樓，給我家奶奶，呃给我家家婆
pá dào sān lóu, gěi wǒ wài pó 
to the third floor and gave it to my (maternal) grandma.
我家家婆嘛，哎喲，覺得我小家伙好懂事噢！
wǒ wài pó ma, yō, juéde wǒ xiǎo, hǎo dǒng shì ō ！
My (maternal) grandma felt that I was really thoughtful despite my young age.
我跟我家家婆關係好好一个。
wǒ gēn wài pó guān xì hǎo hǎo de . 
I was very close to my (maternal) grandma.
然後這個事呢，做長了總是
rán hòu zhè gè shì ne, zuò zhǎng le zǒng guī 
I did the deed for too long.
常在河边走，哪有不湿鞋子呢？
cháng zài hú biān zǒu, zěn néng bù shī zú ne ？
When you keep walking beside a lake, sooner or later you will wet your shoes.
然後呢，曉得了，給我奶奶曉得了
rán hòu ne, xiǎo de le, gěi wǒ nǎi nǎi xiǎo de le 
So, it became known, known to my (paternal) grandma.
奶奶满，就講我這個是吃里扒外，不是好人，然后我也不管她，
nǎi nǎi ne, jiù jiǎng wǒ zhè gè shì chī lǐ bā wài, bù shi hǎo rén 
My grandma said I was Chilipawai, did not recognize who was the good one but I did not care.
我跟我家奶奶小時候關係特彆不好
wǒ gēn wǒ nǎi nǎi xiǎo shí hou guān xì tè bié bù hǎo 
I had very bad relationship with my (paternal) grandma when I was a kid.
這個大概就是我最早的記憶，我就記得我記得我好小的時候，都摸著黑，往樓高头爬爬爬。
zhè gè dà gài jiù shì wǒ zuì zǎo de jìyì , wǒ jiù jìde wǒ jìde wǒ hǎo xiǎo de shí hou, dōu mō zhe hēi, wǎng lóu shàng pá pá pá . 
This was probably my earliest memory, I just remember I climbed the stair in darkness when I was really young.
三歳，比三歳還小
sān suì, bǐ sān suì hái xiǎo 
Three-year-old, less than three.
